About you
You are a native French speaker, fluent in English with extensive Marketing experience within France. You are an all-rounder with a proven track record of driving growth through all marketing channels PPC, CRM to Social Media.


We’re looking for someone with a detailed understanding of the French market. A results-oriented strategic thinker, who can work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders to develop and deliver successful marketing campaigns.

About the role

This is a new international role for Car & Classic and is important to support our European expansion.


As the Marketing Manager at Car & Classic, you will be responsible for quickly establishing and scaling a strong presence in France.

You’ll work within the Marketing department, reporting directly to our Head of Growth but will also be required to collaborate with sales, customer success, admin and finance departments.

Car & Classic is one of the largest automotive marketplaces in the world. We’re lucky to have thousands of user-generated listings submitted monthly with content gems from James Bond’s Aston DB5 to Elvis Presley’s Cadillac. The site is old, launched in 2005 but under new, VC-backed ownership since 2018 and on an exciting triple-digit growth journey to bring classic vehicle transactions online.

Role and responsibilities

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments

  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration

  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies

  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics

  • Partner with PPC, CRM and Social marketing and sales teams to design, test and evolve supply & demand lead generation campaigns.

Job requirements

The skills, attributes and experience you must have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French & English)

  • Proven experience developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills

  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity

  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools

  • Hands-on experience in PPC (Adwords & FB Ads)

  • Social Media Marketing experience


Skills, attributes and experience it would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field

  • Experience in Blueshift or similar ESP

  • A/B testing

  • Interest in classic cars
